How to sign in

  • How do I sign in as a user?

    Once an account has been created, on the app login screen, tap on “Login with Password”. Enter your login details that have been sent to your email address. 

  • How do I sign in as an operator?

    Once an account has been created, you need to open your web browser and navigate to https://operator.skillsbase.io/ to enter your login details that have been sent to your email address.

  • I can’t sign into the operator dashboard.

    Double-check the following: 

    • You are using the correct URL to access the supervisor dashboard:  https://operator.skillsbase.io/
    • You have an account created; you will have received an email. Please check your spam box. 
  • I have forgotten my password.

    To reset your password, go to the sign-in page and click “Forgot your password?” to be taken to the password reset page. 

How to create an account

  • How do I create an account as a user?

    After downloading the app for the first time, you will first need to go through the onboarding screens. 

    You will be asked to allow push notifications and to allow access to the camera. Press ‘Allow’ on both of these to continue with the setup. 

    After the Onboarding screens, you will be taken to the Login screen. Tap on "Sign Up with your Email" to register for an account on the SkillsBase App. 

User Management

  • My users are having trouble logging in.

    If your users have not received their sign-up information email, you can resend this email to users by navigating to the "Manage Users" page and selecting the "Resend Sign-up Info" option from the pop-out action menu of your selected user.  

  • A user registered with an incorrect email. How do I change it?

    You can change a user’s email by navigating to the "Manage Users" page and selecting "Edit" from the pop-out action menu. You will then be taken to the “Edit User” page, where you can edit the user's email and choose to set a manual password for the user. When you’re finished, click “Save” to be brought back to the “Manage Users” page. Resend the sign-up email to the user by selecting the "Resend Sign-up Info" option from the pop-out action menu of your selected user. 

Push Notifications

  • Push Notifications are not sending.

    Ensure that your notification settings are on. Notification settings can be found in “My Account”

  • I have forgotten my password.

    a. You can self-reset your password from the login screen. 

    b. Alternatively, the sign-in page has an “Email me a Login Link” button. If you already have an account, you will automatically get an email.  

  • I received an error stating that my account is not verified.

     a. When creating an app account, we send an email link to your mailbox that enables you to verify that you are the owner of the entered email address. 

    b. When you receive this error, it is generally due to the verification link not being clicked. 

    c. You can resolve this by attempting to sign up to the app again using your email, or else, contact info@skillsbase.io 

    d. You can also tap on “help” on the login screen to send a mail directly to the app support team.  

  • I can’t sign into the app.

    a. Ensure you are connected to the internet when signing in. 

    b. Please confirm that you have entered your email and password correctly. You can preview your password by tapping the “eye icon”. 

    c. Contact your Expert Trainer (Operator) if you have not received your email with Login details from SkillsBase.  

Web App Troubleshooting

  • My problem is not listed.

     If your problem is not listed, please contact info@skillsbase.io, who will respond to your query.   

  • I have forgotten my password.

    You can self-reset your password from the login screen.  

  • I can’t see a specific course.

    If you cannot see a specific course, you have not been assigned to it. Only team members can assign users to courses.  

  • I can’t sign into the web app.

     a. Ensure you are connected to the internet when signing in. 

    b. Please confirm that you have entered your email and password correctly. You can preview your password by tapping the “eye icon”. 

    c. Ensure you are using the correct URL to access the supervisor dashboard: https://app.skillsbase.io/#/login  

Practical Assessment Troubleshooting

  • My problem is not listed.

     If your problem is not listed, please contact info@skillsbase.io, who will respond to your query.   

  • I can’t see my users.

    a. Refresh your list of users on the QR Code screen using the refresh icon below the QR code.  

    b. If you still can’t see your users, ensure they are assigned to you on the operator panel. Select ‘Manage Users’ from the User dropdown menu on the sidebar menu to see a list of your assigned users.   

  • I have forgotten my password.

    a. You can self-reset your password from the login screen. 

    b. Alternatively, the sign-in page has an “Email me a Login Link” button. If you already have an account, you will automatically get an email.  

  • I received an error stating that my account is not verified.

    a. When creating an app account, we send an email link to your mailbox that enables you to verify that you are the owner of the entered email address. 

    b. When you receive this error, it is generally due to the verification link not being clicked. 

    c. You can resolve this by attempting to sign up to the app again using your email, or else, contact info@skillsbase.io 

    d. You can also tap on “help” on the login screen to send a mail directly to the app support team.
